SCDPS Reports Five Killed On South Carolina Roadways November 2 – November 4, 2018

Columbia – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of five persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, November 2, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, November 4, at 11:59 p.m.

As of November 4, 855 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 846 highway deaths during the same time period in 2017.

Of the 595 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2018, 310 were not wearing seat belts.

Through November 4, 125 pedestrians have died compared to 134 in 2017; 88 motorcyclists have died compared to 107 in 2017; and 17 bicyclists have died compared to 16 in 2017 on state roads and highways.
