SCDPS Reports Four Killed On South Carolina Roadways September 13, 2019 To September 15, 2019

COLUMBIA – The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of four persons killed on South Carolina roadways from Friday, September 13, at 6 p.m. until Sunday, September 15, at 11:59 p.m.

As of September 15, 670 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 728 highway deaths during the same time period in 2018.

Of the 670 people who have died in 2019, 436 had access to seatbelts, and 214 were not wearing seat belts.

Through September 15, 108 pedestrians have died compared to 113 in 2018; 82 motorcyclists have died compared to 80 in 2018; and 22 bicyclists have died compared to 14 in 2018 on state roads and highways.
