State Transport Police Officer
The South Carolina State Transport Police (STP) is the premier law enforcement division in South Carolina for enforcing both federal regulations and state laws pertaining to commercial motor vehicles. Our officers work throughout South Carolina’s 46 counties, patrolling all our highways and interstates for unsafe commercial motor vehicles and commercial drivers, as well as all unsafe vehicles to help protect the public daily.

Bureau of Protective Services Officer
As people work and visit the State Capitol Complex buildings and other state facilities, Bureau of Protective Services officers’ number one priority is to provide a safe and secure environment. Our officers receive some of the most specialized training in law enforcement in areas such as x-ray and magnetometer, closed circuit camera surveillance, and bomb recognition to ensure the safety of everyone on the grounds the South Carolina State Capitol Complex and other designated state facilities.

Telecommunications Careers
Telecommunications Operators provide voice communications for the Highway Patrol as well as State Transport Police and Bureau of Protective Services at one of four regional Telecommunications Centers throughout the state. Our offices are located in Blythewood, Greenville, Florence and Charleston.
