SCDPS Reports Seven Killed On South Carolina Roadways During Thanksgiving Holiday Period (November 22 - November 26)

COLUMBIA — The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces a preliminary number of seven people killed on South Carolina roadways during the Thanksgiving holiday period beginning Wednesday, November 22, at 6:00 p.m. until Sunday, November 26, at 11:59 p.m. Five of those fatalities occurred over the weekend period of Friday, November 24, through Sunday, November 26. In comparison, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety announced a preliminary number of 11 people killed on South Carolina roadways during last year's Thanksgiving Holiday period.
